Duties and/ or tasks:





  • Assisting our accountants to produce accurate and timeous monthly management accounts (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow).
  • Paying suppliers (daily)
  • Payroll on SimplePay- calculating commission, monthly incentives.
  • Reconciling of all accounts received (verifying guest payments for bookings).
  • Reconciling of all accounts payable
  • Reconciling of balance sheet  accounts.
  • Reconciling the bank accounts.
  • Reconciling of debtors and creditors.
  • Reconciling and balancing of current accounts.
  • Creating / Capturing of invoices on Xero.
  • Depreciation and inventory checks – assisting with Year end and audit  packs.

Daily tasks:

  • Payment to clients/suppliers. Approximately 400 establishment payments per month and growing.
  • Handling refunds and cancellations.
  • Handling payment queries from clients and staff.
  • Handle fraud system and chargebacks.
  • Creating / capturing of invoices in Xero.

Weekly tasks:

  • Reconciling of all accounts received (Verifying guest payments for bookings).
  • Reconciling of all accounts payable.
  • Reconciling of balance sheet accounts.
  • Reconciling the bank accounts.
  • Reconciling of debtors plus creditors.
  • Reconciling and balancing of current accounts.

Monthly tasks:

  • Assisting our accountants to produce accurate and timeous management accounts (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow).
  • Payroll and calculating commission, monthly incentives. Including submitting PAYE.
  • Depreciation and inventory checks.
  • Vat submissions.
  • Assisting with Year end and audit packs.

Key / minimum requirements:





  • General knowledge of accounting.
  • Tech savvy, preference to digitise.
  • General admin and filing.
  • Independent and self-motivated and hard working and willing to go the extra mile
  • Two years’ minimum bookkeeping experience
  • Strong track record
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Good attention to detail
